Oasis and Manchester: a walking tour
11am Sunday 13 July, 11am Sunday 20 July 2025
£25
A tour of Oasis’ home city that charts the band’s rise to fame and the places that helped shape the group. The route takes in the venues and shops in the Northern Quarter familiar to band members, artwork depicting the brothers, the flat where Noel wrote much of the first two albums, the first venue the band ever played and other sites.
But of course, Oasis didn’t grow up in a vacuum in Manchester so the influence of other Manchester bands on their music is underlined and underscored. Intros to songs from Oasis, The Smiths and the Madchester scene will be played to add to the atmosphere on this gripping, lively and fun tour.
