Halloween Ghost Tour

4pm, 6pm, 8pm Friday 31 October 2025

These will be the most entertaining ghost tours in the North West this year. On the tour you will hear tales of world-famous opera singers returning from the dead, the devil seizing souls and the Manchester Ophelia who when drowned wouldn’t stay dead. There's the tragic tale of the lover who died of a broken heart following the gruesome execution of her sweetheart and how her anguished cries returned to haunt the city.

But there's more, tales of enchanters, pig men and many other wonders of the supernatural world that have been handed down through the generations.

AND all these stories are genuine Manchester stories. They are not gimmicks. The tour will also reveal some of the rich history of this magnificent city.

As well as the thrills there are lots of laughs on the tour. Expect fabulous story-telling, drama and entertainment on a truly memorable occasion.

Meet: Outside St Ann's Church, St Ann's Square, M2 7LF

Tickets:
£25 adults

The tours last for around 80/90 minutes. Minimum age is 12 years. Not all tours may be conducted by Jonathan Schofield. Corporate, educational, individual and special occasion tours can also be organised.  Please wear sensible footwear. Drunk or otherwise intoxicated people will not be allowed on the tour and they will not be refunded.

Some testimonials

"When you’re in the dark, in a very claustrophobic, strange area, you begin to question whether the person next to you just touched your arm, or if it was someone, or something, else. The Haunted Underworld Tour is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon – funny and scary. Schofield is an extremely adept tour guide and you’ll pick up a couple of secrets about the wonderful city of Manchester. But be warned, it is definitely not for those of a nervous disposition." Tracey Lowe, The Good Review

"Such a great ghost tour! Thanks for a spooky Halloween." Charlotte Stear

"I would like to thank Jonathan Schofield for scaring the bejesus out of me on the Haunted Underworld tour last night.” Andrew Jackson, Import Manager.

Hi Jonathan, I wanted to drop you a line following our Haunted Tour on Friday. Very simply put, absolutely brilliant!! Thank you for your knowledge and passion for Manchester. As a Mancunian ‘cemented’ to the City (I think Morrissey once said that!) it was fantastic to hear the stories and to experience areas of the city I guess not many have. I will most certainly be taking you up on the alternative tours of the City with other contacts/clients in the near future (I just need to earn a few quid first). Kindest regards, Andy T. Andrew Titterton. Director, for and on behalf of Studio KMA.
